Mid-term event – The Hybridization of the fight against crime through non-criminal or BORDERLINE measures: principles, rules, limits and opportunities for an integrated system

On December 2, 2024, the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in Pisa will host the mid-term conference of the research project: “The Hybridization of the Fight Against Crime through Non-Criminal or Borderline Measures: Principles, Rules, Limits, Opportunities for an Integrated Contrast System. A First Discussion of the 2022 PRIN ‘Borderline Results“.

The conference, structured around four thematic sessions (punitive civil offenses, anti-mafia injunctions and corporate clean-up measures, confiscations, compliance measures), will feature the participation of foreign academics (Prof. Isidoro Blanco Cordero, Prof. Matthew Dyson, Prof. Adán Nieto Martín) and Italian academics (Prof. Filippo Corsini, Prof. Alberto Gargani, Prof. Antonella Marandola, Prof. Valeria Torre, Prof. Costantino Visconti), as well as representatives from the Italian judiciary (Dott. Michele Corradino, Dott. Salvatore Dovere, Dott. Giorgio Piziali).
The event will be introduced by greetings from the Rector of the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna (Prof. Sabina Nuti), the Director of the Dirpolis Institute (Prof. Gaetana Morgante), and the Principal Investigator of the project (Prof. Antonio Gullo). Individual panels will be moderated by representatives and heads of the Research Units from LUISS, University of Naples Federico II, Unitelma Sapienza, and Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna (Prof. Ferruccio Auletta, Prof. Giuseppe Amarelli, Prof. Vincenzo Mongillo, Prof. Gaetana Morgante).
The event will take place in person at the Conference Room of Palazzo Pilo Boyl in Pisa (Via Santa Cecilia, 24), from 10:00 to 17:30.
